Herbie Hancock among 8 programme releases
One of the greatest legends in the world of jazz, Herbie Hancock, is confirmed for this summer's anniversary edition of Moldejazz.
Herbie Hancock isn't only a legendary pianist and composer. He's also a world-class cultural profile and appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Also, several other artists are confirmed in this big release.
Hanna Paulsberg Concept marks its first 10 years this year. In celebration, they've invited Magnus Broo, Elin Rosseland and Håvard Aufles.
The concert with Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and SB1 SMN JazZtipendiat 2019/2020, Johan Lindvall, is now on sale. Our Artist In Residence, John Zorn, has selected his Norwegian favourite artists in series "Zorn Selected". Maja S. K. Ratkje & Stian Westerhus Unplugged, Moskus and Erlend Apneseth Trio + Frode Haltli are en route to Molde in July. The latter will also play at this year's Break of Day-concert [no: Morgengrykonserten] kindly given to our audience by local energy company, Istad AS.
Two concerts on the SB1 SMN stage in Alexandra Park are also announced today. Grammy-nominee Mardi Gras band, Cha Wa, and Molde Jazz favourite, and local heroes, Red Hot. Local favourites can also be found in Bech & Skeidsvoll New Orleans band, playing in Kikkans Hall.
